One of Those Days

Wednesday was a disaster.

We were up too late on Tuesday night watching the season finale of The Colony so I overslept on Wednesday morning. Oops. Getting a late start throws off the whole schedule of the day – the whole routine. I felt so out of kilter all day. Anyway, we were halfway through our read-aloud assignment for the day, in Calico Bush (which is so far turning out to be pretty good), when the doorbell rang. Oops. It was the pest control guy. Forgot that he was coming today. Stopped to get him situated and then there was a major meltdown to deal with and it just spiraled out of control from there.

At noon I just gave up. Told them to put the books away and we just took the day as it came.

It happens, you know? It was just one of those days. One for the books…
