How we celebrated 10.10.10

I know a lot of people celebrated 10.10.10. Many scrappers that I follow took great pains to document the day. One of our pastors and his wife welcomed their son on 10.10.10! How cool is that?

We celebrated 10.10.10 for a bit of a different reason – Captain Chaos turned 3!

We went to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory –

And no, I don’t know what Hollywood is doing in that picture…

Then we headed over to the Apple Store. Why? Because it was open and who would miss an opportunity to check out the latest and greatest?

Finally it was over to our intended destination – The Lego Store!

We saw Hogwarts Castle and the Hogwarts Express (and updated wish lists appropriately).

Then what we had come for – Captain Chaos picked out two Duplo sets, 1 Cars set with Lightning McQueen and Sherriff + 1 Toy Story set with Buzz, Woody and Jessie.

I love the Lego store and always look forward to going there. When the store employees found out it was Chaos’ birthday they gave him a free Lego Club t-shirt! He felt super-extra special after that.

As soon as the Legos were paid for we loaded up and came home to play! All of us took the rest of the day and spent some time playing Legos and cars and other favorite games with a very special, newly-minted 3 year old.

It was a very good day.
